How to check your Nest app software version
Note: These instructions are for devices running stock unmodified versions of iOS 9.
Open the iOS Settings app and scroll down until you see the Nest app. Tap on it to view the version number.
Note: These instructions are for devices running stock unmodified versions of Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). They may be different on your phone or tablet, so please check with the manufacturer.
Open the Android Settings app on your phone or tablet and select Apps.
You’ll see a list of all the apps that you have installed. Scroll down to the Nest app and tap on it to see the version number.
|1. Tap the Menu icon in the top left corner of the Nest app home screen .
2. Tap Account in the middle of the screen.
3. Choose Manage account.
4. Tap Legal .
5. Choose Additional legal notices.
6. You’ll see the app version number at the top of the screen.
Turn on automatic updates
We recommend that you set your phone to automatically update the Nest app so you have the latest features and bug fixes as soon as they’re available. If you use the Nest app on a computer at home.nest.com, there’s nothing to download or check. It’s automatically updated as soon as a new version is available for that platform.
