Set Up Google Home Hub

The Google Home app will walk you through the steps to set up your Google Home Hub.

The Google Home Hub is available for use in English.

Note: Google Home Hub is currently available for purchase in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia.

Android:

What you need to get started

– A Google Home Hub device.

– Latest version of the Google Home app Google Home app.

– Latest version of the Google app Google Search

– A Google Account

– A mobile phone or tablet that:

  • Has Android 5.0 or higher.

  • Has its language set to an option listed above.

  • Works with a 2.4 GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi network (a WPA2-Enterprise network won’t work)

  • Has Bluetooth turned on.

  • An internet connection and secure wireless network.

  • If you already use Duo for video calling, make sure Duo is signed in with the same Google Account as your Google Home Hub.

iPhone & iPad:

What you need to get started

– A Google Home Hub device.

– Latest version of the Google Home app Google Home app.

– Latest version of the Google Assistant app Google Assistant.

– A Google Account

– A mobile phone or tablet that:

  • Has iOS 10.0 or higher.

  • Has its language set to an option listed above.

  • Works with a 2.4 GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi network (a WPA2-Enterprise network won’t work)

  • Has Bluetooth enabled.

  • An internet connection and secure wireless network.

Get started

– Plug in your Google Home Hub.

– Connect your mobile device to the Wi-Fi network that you’ll use for your Google Home Hub.

– On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app Google Home.

Follow the steps:

– If you don’t see the steps to set up your Google Home Hub:

– On the Google Home app’s home screen, tap Addand then Set up device and then Set up new devices.

– Follow the remaining steps.

Fix issues during set up

Can’t see Google Home Hub in the Google Home app

Restart your device

– Unplug your device. Wait 10 seconds.

– Wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in.

Restart the Home app

– Close the Home app Google Home

– Open the Home app Google Home

Setup freezes or can’t finish

Restart your device

– Unplug your device. Wait 10 seconds.

– Wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in.

Factory reset your device

On the back of the device on the right side, press and hold the volume up and volume down buttons together for 10 seconds. After a few moments, your device will restart the setup process.
